'Bomb In Narendra Modi Stadium’: Police Probe Reveals Woman Sent Threat E-Mails To Frame Lover For THIS Reason
The woman wanted to avenge the rejection she faced and decided to use her technical knowledge to frame the man she once wanted to marry. She was arrested by Ahmedabad cyber crime from Chennai.

A woman executive working at an MNC in Chennai sent several bomb threats to blow up the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and various other locations in other states in a bid to frame the man she loved after he married another woman.
The accused, Rene Joshilda, wanted to avenge the rejection she faced and decided to use deception to cause trouble for the man, whom she once dreamt of marrying. The woman was nabbed only after a probe into the threat e-mails uncovered the tale of unrequited love and vengeance.
The police investigation was launched based on an FIR filed at Sarkhej police station in Ahmedabad after a bomb threat e-mail was received by a school on June 3, 2025.
She was arrested by the Ahmedabad cyber crime from her residence in Chennai on Saturday after an extended technical surveillance led the police to pick up the digital trail, leading to her, an official told news agency PTI on Monday.
According to police, she used virtual private networks (VPNs), fake email IDs, and the dark web to hide her identity and location.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sharad Singhal said Joshilda created different email IDs, some of which were in the name of the man, Divij Prabhakar, who she framed.
Joshilda is an engineer trained in Robotics and has been working as a senior consultant at a multinational firm in Chennai since 2022. "She has done her engineering from Chennai and a course in Robotics. Currently, she is a senior consultant at Deloitte. She loved Divij Prabhakar and wanted to marry him but it remained one-sided," Singhal said.
The woman was filled with the urge to take revenge after Prabhakar married another woman in February this year, crushing her hopes for marriage. "In a bid to frame him, she created different email IDs, some of which were in the name of Prabhakar," the police officer added.
She used her technical knowledge to build panic, not taking into account the impact her action would have on innocent people who would be targeted unintentionally due to her hoax threats.
The police officer said Joshilda sent emails from anonymous accounts threatening to blow up the Narendra Modi Stadium, BJ Medical College, and at least two schools in Ahmedabad. "She allegedly sent emails to various locations in 11 other states also (besides Gujarat) timing them ahead of some religious processions or visits by VIPs," he said.
Apart from this, emails were also sent to target locations in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar, Telangana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana, police said.
"Bomb successfully planted in Narendra Modi Stadium. Save the stadium if you can," one of the e-mail read.
How A Small Mistake Led Police To The Woman
Police from the states that received the threat e-mails coordinated with Ahmedabad cyber crime police to arrest her.
The accused used virtual numbers to create fake email IDs and used the dark web. She even covered her virtual trail, but a small mistake on her part led investigators to her.
"We were tracking her for a long time. She was very smart and didn't reveal her virtual trail, but due to a small mistake of hers, we tracked her and caught her from her house in Chennai," Singhal said.
He further said the police recovered significant digital and paper evidence against Joshilda, following which she was arrested.
