Domestic LPG Cylinder Price Hiked By Rs 50, To Be Sold At Rs 1,103

The price of domestic LPG cylinders has been increased by Rs 50, to be sold at Rs 1103. The price of commercial cylinders has also been hiked by Rs 350.50 and will cost Rs 2119.50 in Delhi. The new rates are effective from today, news agency ANI reported.
As per the revised rates, commercial LPG cylinders will now cost Rs 2,119.50 per unit in Delhi and the price of domestic LPG cylinders will be Rs 1,103 per unit, in the national capital.
Meanwhile, Congress took a swipe at the Modi-led government on Twitter calling the LPG price hike a Holi gift.

19-kg LPG cylinder price was hiked by 19.8 per cent to Rs 2,119 from Rs 1,769
14.2-kg LPG cylinder price hiked by 4.7 per cent to Rs 1,103 from Rs 1,053

In New Delhi, it will cost Rs 1,103.00 while Kolkata it is Rs 1,079. The price in Mumbai is Rs 1,052.50, Chennai is Rs 1,068.50. While prices in Gurgaon will be Rs 1,061.50, Noida is Rs 1,050.50, Bangalore is Rs1,055.50. While the LPG cylinder in Bhubaneswar will cost Rs 1,079.00, Chandigarh Rs 1,112.50, Hyderabad Rs 1,105.00, Jaipur Rs 1,056.50, Lucknow- Rs 1,090.50, Patna- Rs 1,201.00, Trivandrum- Rs 1,062.00.
The prices were hiked four times last year with a cumulative rise of Rs 153 - Rs 50 in July, Rs50 and Rs3.50 in May and Rs 50 in March.
The price of LPG price is determined by the state-run oil companies on a monthly basis and is subject to change. The hike is the second biggest raise after the Rs 350 per hike for a 19 kg cylinder was made in 2014.
Price of commercial LPG cylinder
The price of commercial LPG in Delhi has been increased from Rs 1,769 to Rs 2,119.50 while in Mumbai it has hiked from Rs 1,721 to Rs 2,071.50 per cylinder. The price of commercial LPG in Kolkata has been raised from Rs 1,869 to Rs 2,219.50 while Chennai has witnessed a price hike from Rs 1,917 to Rs 2,267.50.
This is the second hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices this year. Earlier, on January 1, commercial cylinder prices were increased by Rs 25 per unit. The hike has been announced after the election in North East India and ahead of Holi.
