Budget 2023: PM Modi, FM Sitharaman Hold Meeting With NITI Aayog Experts To Assess Economy
The meeting at NITI Aayog is being attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. PM Narendra Modi will assess the state of the Indian economy and its challenges ahead of the Union Budget 2023.
New Delhi: Ahead of the Union Budget 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday began a meeting with economists at NITI Aayog to seek their opinions and suggestions. Prime Minister will also assess the state of the Indian economy and its challenges, sources informed news agency ANI. The meeting at NITI Aayog is being attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This will be the last full budget of the Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget on February 1, 2023. The Budget is prepared by the ministry of finance in consultation with NITI Aayog and other relevant ministries.

The Budget Session of India's Parliament is scheduled to begin on January 31 and conclude on April 6. The session will start with an address by President Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. On the first day of the budget session, the Economic Survey will also be tabled in both Houses. Finance Minister will present the Union Budget on February 1. The first part of the session is expected to continue till February 10.

After a recess, the second part of the session is likely to start on March 6 and conclude on April 6. During the first part of the session, there will be a detailed discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address and the Union Budget.
