Students at Polaris School of Technology, which offers a Bangalore-based 4-year residential program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, have been selected for the 2025 cohort of the Summer of Bitcoin (SOB) internship program — one of the most exclusive open-source mentorship programs in the cryptocurrency space.
Each selected participant receives a stipend of approximately $3,000, paid in Bitcoin, and works under the guidance of international mentors on open-source projects contributing to the broader Bitcoin ecosystem.
3 out of the 4 selected participants are currently just in their first year of learning which makes the outcome noteworthy. Most successful applicants to SOB are typically in their final years of engineering or postgraduate study. Medhavi Skills University and Polaris School of Technology run a four-year integrated B.Tech program in Computer Science with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Polaris, founded in 2024 and backed by EdTech platform Classplus, emphasizes early, hands-on learning with a curriculum that includes more than 5,000 hours of programming. Students are encouraged to learn and contribute to the real-world technical ecosystems from the beginning of their 4 year program.
