Tata Curvv EV: From Battery To Interior, Top 5 Things To Know

Here are 5 things that you need to know about the Tata Curvv EV and this new EV currently is the flagship of the Tata Motors EV range as it is slotted above the Nexon EV.

1. The Curvv EV is based on the acti.ev platform just like the Punch while it has dimensions of 4310 mm in length, width of 1810 mm plus a wheelbase of 2560 mm. This acti.ev platform means it has a 11 litre frunk at the front as well while boot space is 500 litres.

2. There are two battery pack options- 45kWh battery and a 55kwh battery pack. If we look at the starting price, it is ₹ 17.49 lakh for the Curvv.ev 45 and at ₹ 19.25 for the Curvv.ev 55. The top-end 55 kWh battery pack version is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh ex-showroom.

3. The 45kWh battery pack has a claimed range of  502 km while the 55kWh battery pack has 585km ARAI. Tata Motors says that the real world range would be 400-450km. The single electric motor meanwhile develops 167hp and 215Nm. The Battery pack and motor have a 1.6 lakh km or 8 years warranty. There are drive modes and regen braking via three levels with paddle shifters.

4. The Curvv EV is a coupe SUV and comes with five colour options- Virtual Sunrise, Pure Grey, Pristine White, Flame Red and Empowered Oxide. In the exterior, you get flush door handles, R18 alloy wheels with Aero Inserts, Smart Digital Connected DRLs with Welcome and Goodbye Animation, Smart Charging Animation, Sequential turn Indicators, LED Projector Head Lamp, LED Front fog lamps with Cornering function, Smart Digital Connected LED Tail lamps with animation plus  Electric Front Charging Lid with Auto open/closing.

5. The interior has features like a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Phygital Control Panel, Voice assisted Panoramic Sunroof with Mood lighting, e-shifter, Multi Mood Ambient Lighting Front Seat Ventilation, 6 Way Power adjustable driver seat, 6 Way adjustable co-driver seat, a powered hand brake, climate control, connected car tech and in-built apps, Cooled Glove Box and Front and Rear Fast Charge C Type 45W etc. At the rear, you have a 2 stage rear seat reclining and Rear AC Vents. Safety features include a 360 degree camera, ADAS Level 2, All Wheel Disc Brakes, 6 airbags, Acoustic Vehicle Alert System and Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control.
