Hyundai Creta N Line Manual or DCT- Which One To Buy?

We earlier had driven the N Line but having lived with the manual Creta N Line here, we will discuss which is the one to get, the manual or the DCT automatic version

The Creta N Line is an SUV that enthusiasts would think of buying and thats what the N Line brand promises you. The i20 N Line and Venue N Line are proper go faster versions with lots of fun so is the Creta N Line good also? We earlier had driven the N Line but having lived with the manual Creta N Line here, we will discuss which is the one to get, the manual or the DCT automatic version.

The Creta N Line unlike the standard Creta gets a 6-speed manual with its turbo petrol while it also has a 7-speed DCT with paddle shifters. The powertrain in the Creta N Line is the 160hp 1.5l turbo petrol and it is a powerful motor with plenty of punch which makes it a quick SUV.

It feels fast too and here, the manual version is more involving since it increases your inputs. The clutch isn't heavy and the N Line specific shifter looks great too. Whats more, it is easy to drive with only the slight lag at low speeds requiring some downshifts once in a while. That said, for keen drivers the gearbox shifts well and fits with the bried of a sporty SUV. The engine is linear but gains power quickly once on the move.

As said earlier, this Creta N Line motor isn't as loud as the i20 N Line but thats with the broad buyer base. Back to the DCT vs Manual and the DCT is a 7-speed unit with the availability of drive/traction modes too. The drive modes do alter the response and the steering while it is responsive for faster driving in terms of the paddle shifters along with the way it is tuned.

The DCT then is quicker in its response and more convenient for daily use but the manual is also more involving which matters in a sporty SUV. That said, the Creta N Line is a sizeable upgrade in the way it drives and is sharper while the availability of a manual is indeed good news for enthusiasts.
