This SUV From Hyundai Is Bought Every 5 Minutes In India. Check Details

Worldwide markets now have a larger affection for SUVs but in India especially, the midsize SUV segment has grown massively. One of the more successful SUVs here has been the Hyundai Creta. In its new generation form, it has already received 60,000 bookings in just one month of its launch.

Being on sale for eight years, the Creta has now achieved the 1-million sales milestone with several generations of the car. In the domestic market, sales of the Creta have surpassed 10 lakh units. The first-generation Creta was launched in 2015 at Rs 8.59 lakh and came with a 1.6-litre petrol engine, a 1.4 or a 1.6-litre diesel unit.

This started the compact SUV genre, which brought in more features in compact the car market with an SUV look. The second-generation model styled radically sold even more units with its original price being Rs 9.9 lakh in 2020. The Creta, in its second-generation form, came with a panoramic sunroof and introduced the market to a turbo petrol engine.

While the styling was indeed a big change from the earlier version, sales took off even more and it climbed to being the best-seller in its class for a long time.

Recently, Hyundai launched the new Creta, which is an extensive facelift. It carries a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol/ diesel engine and a naturally aspirated unit. The new Creta also gets more features now including ADAS and more. Not surprisingly, Creta remains one of the key models for Hyundai and its best-selling SUV, followed by the Venue. Currently, there are more future versions of the Creta in the pipeline, which will further expand this brand.
