Maruti SUV EVX: In terms of positioning, it will be a larger SUV and one that will give buyers more choice in terms of whether going for an EV or a full hybrid.
Maruti Suzuki has finally jumped on the EV bandwagon with the unveiling of its first electric SUV concept called EVX. While shown in concept form, the electric SUV will hit the Indian roads by 2025. The electric SUV concept looks quite futuristic and has an aggressive look to it.
In terms of positioning, it will be a larger SUV and one that will give buyers more choice in terms of whether going for an EV or a full hybrid.
The SUV concept will be locally assembled and the high localisation would be the key to its success and attainment of the sales numbers which Maruti deals in.
The electric SUV would be built in Gujarat at its new plant and will be most likely retailed via Nexa sales outlets.
It has a 60kwh battery pack and has a claimed range of 550km while the design is quite aggressive, it is well above 4m in length.
The production version will be expected to retain the same specifications.
