What Is Dhanteras All About?

To conduct Lakshmi Puja on Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi, it is advisable to do so during the Pradosh Kaal, which begins after sunset and usually lasts around 2 hours and 24 minutes. It is crucial to avoid selecting Choghadiya Muhurat for Dhanteras Puja, as those Muhurtas are primarily suitable for travel purposes. The most favorable time for Lakshmi Puja on Dhanteras is during the Pradosh Kaal, coinciding with Sthir Lagna, a fixed, non-movable ascendant. Performing Dhanteras Puja during Sthir Lagna ensures the presence of Goddess Lakshmi in your home, making it the ideal time for the Dhanteras Pujan. Vrishabha Lagna, considered a Sthir Lagna, typically aligns with the Pradosh Kaal during the Diwali festivities.

Dhanteras Puja, also known as Dhantrayodashi, holds dual significance. From Tuesday, November 7, to Diwali on November 12, the following Yogas are forming: Shukla, Brahma, Indra, Sthira, Preeti, Ayushman, Saubhagya, Dhaamini, Ubhayachari, Varishtha, Saral, Shubhakarti, Gajakesari, and Sarvarthsiddhi Yog.
