YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy Releases Manifesto For Andhra Pradesh Assembly Polls

On the manifesto released by YSRCP in 2019, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "We have implemented 99 percent of the promises given."

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy released the manifesto of YSRCP at party headquarters in Tadepalli ahead of Assembly Elections on Saturday. Andhra Pradesh is set to vote simultaneously for Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections on May 13. 

The manifesto has been named as 'YSRCP Navaratnalu Plus'. In the manifesto, YSRCP promises to uphold current welfare schemes designed to benefit people throughout the state, he announced an increase in pensions for elderly persons from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,500. 

The chief minister highlighted that welfare pensions, currently at Rs 3,000 per month, will be increased to Rs 3,250 starting from January 2028 and further raised to Rs 3,500 from January 2029.

Jagan announced plans to raise the amount provided under the 'Ammavadi' scheme from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 17,000. Additionally, he mentioned that three lakh individuals would receive loans under the YSR Zero Paisa Interest scheme, according to a report on PTI.

Releasing the manifesto, Jagan said, "Our manifesto gained importance within these five years. In every government office, official has our manifesto. We have implemented 99 percent of the promises given. We asked for a progress report about the schemes implemented every year."

"Immediately after YSRCP forms the government in 2024, Visakhapatnam will be made the executive capital as the seat of the government. It will be developed as the growth engine for the state," said Reddy, as per the report.

Jagan reiterated his commitment to develop Amaravati as the legislative capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital. He emphasized that in his government, a political party's manifesto held significant value, likening it to sacred texts like the Bible, Quran, and Bhagavad Gita.
