Andhra Pradesh: Mentally Challenged Dalit Woman Raped By Three Contract Workers Inside Hospital
Vijayawada Dalit Woman Rape: The three workers raped the woman in two different instances under the pretext of marrying her to an employee and providing her with a job at GGH.
Chennai: Three contract workers of Vijayawada GGH were arrested on Thursday in connection with the abduction and rape of a 23-year-old Dalit mentally challenged woman at the premises of the hospital on Tuesday. The issue came to light after the parents of the survivor filed a missing case with the police on Wednesday.
According to City Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata, the mother of the survivor approached the police and filed a woman missing complaint.
Based on the complaint, the police started the investigation and found that the woman was last seen with a contract employee of the hospital Dara Srikant, said a report on Times of India.
Following this, they intensified the probe and started questioning him.
The police said, the investigation revealed that Srikant promised to offer a job to the woman at GGH and made the woman come to the hospital on Tuesday. Upon her arrival, he kidnapped and raped the woman with a promise to marry her.

He sexually abused the woman the whole night and left her in the sanitation workers’ room of GGH.
On seeing the survivor alone in the room, sanitation workers Chennu Babu Rao and J Pawan Kalyan also raped the woman with the promise to get her a job in the hospital, the cop said.

Later, Srikant confessed to the crime and the police rescued her from the sanitation workers' room where she was tied with a rope.
The police registered a case against the three accused and arrested all of them, said the report.
