Tirupati: CM Jagan To Be In Tirumala Today To Participate In Salakatla Brahmotsavam

On behalf of the government, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy will offer silk garments to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple.

Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit Tirumala temple on Monday to participate in the ongoing Tirumala Salakatla Brahmotsavam, which entered its fifth day today.

On behalf of the government, Lord Venkateswara, the presiding deity of the Tirumala temple, will be offered silk garments. 

Reddy will be in Tirumala on Tuesday also, and several development works will be undertaken during the two days.

According to the timetable shared by the Chief Minister's Office, Jagan Reddy will arrive from Amravati on a chartered airplane and reach Renigunta airport around 2 pm. From there, he will go straight to the BIRRD Hospital in Tirupati, a three-hour drive from the airport. The CM will inaugurate a hospital for pediatric cardiac surgery there. 

The next stop will be Alipiri where Reddy will inaugurate the ‘Go Mandiram’, a temple built with the help of donations from devotees.

Later, he will inaugurate the Alipiri pedestrian walkway rebuilt at a cost of Rs 25 crore by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust, with contribution from the Reliance Group.

A roof slab has been added to the Alipiri pathway.

TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy told the media that CM Jagan Reddy will arrive in Tirumala after inaugurating development projects in Tirupati. He will do Garuda Seva at Venkateswara temple after offering prayers at Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple.

The CM will also inaugurate the Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel’s Hindi and Kannada services the next day, before departing for Amravati at noon. Traffic restrictions have been put in place in Tirupati in view of his visit.

On Sunday, the processional deity of Lord Malayappa Swamy, mounted atop Kalpavruksha Vahanam and Sarvabhupala Vahanam blessed devotees on the fourth day of the Brahmotsavam.
