TDP General Secy Nara Lokesh Undergoes Scan After Suffering Shoulder Injury During Padyatra
Lokesh suffered an injury to his right shoulder during his padyatra in the Kadiri constituency on March 18.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh underwent some medical tests in Nandyal on Thursday for the shoulder injury he sustained during his ongoing "Yuva Galam" (youth's voice) padyatra. Lokesh, son of TDP chief and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, suffered an injury to his right shoulder during his padyatra in the Kadiri constituency on March 18. Though he continued the march, he seemed to be in discomfort while raising his hands to greet people.
The injury also forced Lokesh to stop the 'selfie with Lokesh' programme, during which he takes selfies with people. Lokesh's padyatra is currently passing through the Nandyal constituency.
On doctors' advice, Lokesh got a scan done at an MRI centre in Nandyal.

On January 27, Lokesh embarked on a 4,000-kilometre-long state-wide walkathon from the Kuppam constituency, which is represented by his father. The padyatra will cover 120 Assembly constituencies over 400 days across the state. It has so far covered 1,200 km.
However, tragedy struck Lokesh's family on the very first day of the padyatra. His cousin and actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna collapsed during the march after suffering cardiac arrest. Taraka Ratna (39) passed away on February 18 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru.
On May 15, Lokesh's mother, N. Bhvaneswari, joined his padyatra at Srisailam to mark the 100th day of the foot march. Bhuvaneswari's sister, Lokeshwari, also participated in the padyatra. To mark the 100th day of the padayatra, Lokesh unveiled a pylon at Matukuru. Many TDP leaders and supporters participated in the padyatra.
