Andhra Pradesh: Three Passengers Of A Car Burnt Alive In Mishap
Three passengers were killed in a road accident on Tuesday when their car caught fire after colliding with a container lorry.
Hyderabad: Three passengers were killed in a road accident on Tuesday when their car caught fire after colliding with a container truck on the national highway near Thippayapalem in the Markapuram rural police station limits Prakasam district.
According to locals and police, three persons were driving from Cumbum to Markapuram on the national highway on Tuesday evening. One of the car's tyres got punctured as it arrived in Tippayapalem, Markapuram Mandal, and the driver lost control. The vehicle continued for around 50 metres before colliding into a container approaching from the opposite way. The collision blew up the car's petrol tank, and the car quickly caught fire, with no time for the passengers to flee the burning vehicle.
Markapuram Rural police immediately reached the spot with fire tenders and extinguished the fire with the help of locals.
The deceased were identified as Imran, 21, Balaji, 21 and Teja, 29, of Bhakarapeta village in Tirupati district. It is learned that a young man named Imran was working as a driver for a Bolero vehicle belonging to a private telecom department in Guntur. Imran, his friends Balaji and Teja were travelling in a car on the Markapuram National Highway when the accident happened.
Tragedy struck the village as the three of them belonged to the same town. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Full details of the accident are yet to be known.
CI Anjaneyareddy said the accident occurred when the lorry and the car collided head-on. We found the remains of three persons in the vehicle. The car owner was identified as Etimarupu Narendra of Adinavaripalli village in Chittoor district.
