CM Jagan said that the government also increased the retirement age of teachers to 62 and gave promotions to teachers.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy says that his government has prioritised the education sector. The numerous reforms implemented are designed to prepare the children for the competitive world they will soon enter, said CM.

Speaking at the Teachers' Day function in Vijayawada on Monday, the chief minister reiterated his government's reforms in the education sector to provide quality education to students. He compared educators to sculptors who shape the future of their students.

He asserted that the government's goal is to give high-quality education to economically and socially deprived groups and that reforms are intended to improve the lives of the underprivileged classes. "Our reforms are designed to restore government schools to their former grandeur and shape them better than corporate schools so they will attract more students," he said.

He said that he is working with the aim that poverty should not be a barrier to higher education and that quality education should be available to all.
