PM Kisan eKYC Deadline Extended Till July 31, Know Steps To Complete eKYC Process

In May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the financial benefits worth Rs 21,000 crore under the (PM-KISAN) scheme to more than 10 crore farmers in Shimla

New Delhi: The Centre has recently released the 11th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme. Over 10 crore farmers have benefitted from the release of the installment. The Centre has now extended the last date to complete the eKYC process. Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the financial benefits worth Rs 21,000 crore under the (PM-KISAN) scheme to more than 10 crore farmers in Shimla.  These beneficiary farmers got their four-monthly grant of Rs 2,000 each after the release of the 11th installment.

The government has extended the deadline to complete eKYC for beneficiary farmers of PM Kisan, as the previous deadline of May 31 got over. As per the website of PM Kisan, “Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 31st July 2022.”

This is the second time in two weeks the central government has pushed the due date for eKYC completion.

Know the steps to complete PM-KISAN eKYC process on pmkisan.gov.in

  • First of all, you need to go to the https://pmkisan.gov.in/ portal.
  • You'll find several tabs on the right-hand side. At the top, you will see eKYC, click on it.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and image code and click on the search button.
  • After this, enter the mobile number which is linked to the Aadhaar card number.
  • Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number.
  • After entering the OTP, the process of your e-KYC will be completed.

For Aadhaar-based OTP validation, farmers will have to click on the e-KYC option in Kisan Corner. For biometric validation, one has to go to the nearest Kisan Service Centre or CSC Centre. If you have someone who is well versed in digital work, then you can complete e-KYC from your mobile, computer, or laptop while sitting at home.

Also, note that if you fail to complete the eKYC process by July 31, you will not be eligible to receive the next installment of PM Kisan.

Here’s how to check PM Kisan beneficiary status

  • Firstly, visit the website pmkisan.gov.in
  • On the homepage, you will be able to see a separate section called the Farmers Corner
  • In that section, click on the tab called ‘Beneficiary Status’
  • Alternatively, you can also directly go to the link https://pmkisan.gov.in/BeneficiaryStatus.aspx
  • Here you need to enter any one of the details — Aadhaar number, PM Kisan account number or your registered mobile number
  • After filling in the details, click on the Get Data option. You will then be able to see the beneficiary credit status.

Under the PM Kisan scheme, all small and marginal farmers who are Indian nationals are eligible. Under the PM Kisan scheme, landholding farmers get an allowance of Rs 6,000 per year, which is distributed thrice over the year in a gap of four months. So far, the government has spent over Rs 2 lakh crore on the PM Kisan scheme.
