PM Modi To Kick Off ‘Iconic Week Celebrations’ Of Finance, To Launch Jan Samarth Portal

PM Modi will unveil the Jan Samarth Site, a nationwide portal for credit-linked government initiatives.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs' 'Iconic Week Celebrations' at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi today. From June 6 to June 11, 2022, the "iconic week" will be commemorated as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" (AKAM), news agency ANI reported.

PM Modi will unveil the Jan Samarth Site, a nationwide portal for credit-linked government initiatives. It's a one-stop digital site that connects beneficiaries to lenders directly through government credit programmes.

The key objective of the Jan Samarth site, according to the Prime Minister's Office, is to promote equitable growth and development of diverse sectors by directing and supplying them with the appropriate government benefits through simple and straightforward digital processes.

The gateway guarantees that all related initiatives are covered from beginning to end.

The Prime Minister will open a digital display that chronicles the eight-year journey of the two ministries of Finance and Corporate Affairs. He'll also issue a limited-edition series of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, and Rs 50 coins.

The subject of these unique coins will be the AKAM logo, and they will be easily recognisable by visually challenged people.

The programme will also be held concurrently at 75 places around the country, with each location connected to the main venue by virtual mode.
