Rashtriya Janata Dal's Neeraj Kumar won Barari assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 14336 votes. Runner-up Bibhash Chandra Choudhary of Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 56839 votes. Third position was held by Nationalist Congress Party's Muhammad Shakur while Kailash Sahani of Independent held the fourth spot.
