Janata Dal (United)'s Niranjan Kumar Mehta won Bihariganj assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 29253 votes. Runner-up Ravindra Charan Yadav of Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 49108 votes.
