Booze Party Turns Violent In Train, Coach Attendant, TTE Beat Up Passenger On Amritsar-Katihar Express

Two railway staff members reportedly assaulted a passenger after consuming alcohol together aboard the Amritsar-Katihar Express train on Wednesday evening. The incident, captured on the phone sparked outrage on social media, resulting in action by railways authorities.
According to a report by TOI, the 38-year-old passenger identified as Sheikh Majibul Uddin, a truck driver from Siwan was traveling from New Delhi when the altercation took place. Police confirmed that Majibul befriended two coach attendants, Vikram Chauhan, and Sonu Mehto, after exchanging blankets and linens.
The trio drank alcohol together, leading to a verbal dispute that escalated into violence. Majibul allegedly slapped TTE Rajesh Kumar, who attempted to intervene, leading the staff members to retaliate.

GRP Firozabad Filed Case
Footage from the train shows Majibul lying unconscious on the floor, covered in vomit, while the two staff members kick him and strike him with a belt, accompanied by verbal abuse. Alerted by fellow passengers, railway authorities intervened, and the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Firozabad rescued the injured passenger and arranged for medical care.
Based on Majibul's complaint, GRP Firozabad filed a case against Vikram Chauhan, Sonu Mehto, and Rajesh Kumar under IPC sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 351 (criminal intimidation).
Following the video's circulation, Northern Railway suspended TTE Rajesh Kumar, while the two coach attendants remain at large. GRP SHO Sushil Kumar stated that the incident stemmed from a friendly exchange that escalated after Majibul mistook the TTE for a coach attendant and slapped him, leading to a violent altercation.
