Trump could handle Brexit better than Theresa May: Boris Johnson

London [United Kingdom], June 9 (ANI): The United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson suggested that the United States President Donald Trump would handle Brexit negotiations better than British Prime Minister Theresa May.

According to a leaked audio recording from a private dinner with fellow Conservatives on Wednesday, Johnson said "Imagine Trump doing Brexit. I have become more and more convinced that there is method in his madness," CNN quoted.

The crucial voting on May's Brexit Withdrawal bill in the House of Commons is yet to take place.

Brexit is the prospective withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU).

On June 23, 2016, in a referendum, 51.9 percent of the participating UK electorate voted to leave the EU, out of a turnout of 72.2 percent. (ANI)
