Nepal completes preparations to welcome PM Modi

By Binod Prasad Adhikari

Kathmandu [Nepal], May 10 (ANI): The authorities in Nepal have completed the preparations to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his two-day State visit to Nepal.

The flags of Nepal and India have been stalled in the poles at various locations in the capital city Kathmandu as well as Janakpur and Muktinath temple.

The preparations for the guard of honor are completed in the Tundikhel where he will be given guard of honor and the City Hall where he will be given public felicitation.

With some hours left for the Prime Minister to land in Nepal, the hopes of the residents of Kathmandu have increased.

"The existing relation between India and Nepal will further strengthen with the visit of PM Modi. Nepal can benefit from this visit," Shoyeb Khan, a resident of Kathmandu told ANI.

Apart from the smoothening the relations between the two countries, the residents of Kathmandu also take the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Nepal as the chance to grace Nepali culture of welcoming the guests.

"Our friendly neighbor India's Prime Minister is arriving on visit to Nepal. Definitely as per the culture and the tradition of Nepal we have the honor to welcome and grace him and should take it positively," Binod Maharjan another resident of Kathmandu stated.

India, which had shivering relation with Nepal in the past during the tenure of incumbent Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli, now seems to improve the course.

"I will take his visit as a course correction between the two countries, that's all," Saroj Bhusal, a post graduation student told ANI.

Prime Minister Modi will start his two-day State visit to Nepal on Friday by visiting the religious sites of the Himalayan Nation.(ANI)
