"There Is Very Little For Most States," Says Shashi Tharoor After Union Budget | ABP News
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor criticised the Union Budget 2024, stating it lacks substantial benefits for most states. On July 24, Tharoor accused the Modi government of failing to address the needs of the common people. He pointed out that the budget does not meet expectations, particularly for Kerala in the health sector. “There is very little for most states. There were a few expectations for Kerala, especially in the health sector, but all of them have not been fulfilled. Each state has its own issue to point to,” said Tharoor. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive budget on July 23, 2024, focusing on themes including agriculture, employment, and infrastructure.
