Rahul Gandhi Hathras Visit: After meeting the victims, Rahul says- they are being treated like criminals

Hathras Case News: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reached Hathras to meet the family of the rape victim on Thursday (12 December). During this, after the meeting of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the victim family of Hathras incident said that even after four years we have not got justice. Neither the promise of house and job was fulfilled. The security arrangements have become like a prison. Waiting for justice, the family has not immersed the ashes of the deceased.

The victim family said that apart from Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, letters were written to CM Yogi Adityanath, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, President Draupadi Murmu and Chief Justice regarding their pain, out of which only Rahul Gandhi took cognizance. His arrival brought relief.

There is no trace of the job - Victim family

Along with this, expressing their pain, the family said that three accused were released. It was claimed that the government is asking to deposit the existing property in exchange for a new house. There is no trace of jobs, security personnel do not let us go anywhere. Children are not able to study nor are we able to find work. The compensation of Rs 25 lakh is about to end. We are worried about the future, hope the government will take care of us.

BJP takes a dig at Rahul's Hathras visit

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak took a dig at Rahul Gandhi's Hathras visit. The BJP leader said that Rahul Gandhi is "confused" and "not aware of the status of the case." Brajesh Pathak said, "The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) has already investigated the matter and no criminal is allowed to go scot-free under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)."
