Delhi Elections: Congress Releases First List Of 21 Candidates, Sheila Dikshit's Son Fielded From THIS Seat
The first list for Delhi polls came shortly after the Congress' top brass on Thursday evening cleared the names of 21 candidates for Delhi assembly elections, scheduled to be held early next year.
The Congress on Thursday released the first list of 21 candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections, naming Former Lok Sabha MP Sandeep Dikshit from New Delhi constituency and state party chief Devender Yadav from Badli seat.
Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, against AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi seat. However, the Aam Aadmi Party is yet to confirm whether Kejriwal will be contesting from his New Delhi seat.
The party named Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak from Wazirpur, Aruna Kumari from Narela, Mangesh Tyagi from Burari, Shivank Singhal from Adarsh Nagar, and Jai Kishan from Sultanpur Majra.
Other candidates who found their names in the list include Rohit Chaudhary from Nangloi Jat, Praveen Jain from Shalimarbagh, Anil Bhardwaj from Sadar Bazar, Mudit Agarwal from Chandni Chowk and Haroon Yusuf from Ballimaran.

Meanwhile, the grand-old party fielded PS Bawa from Tilak Nagar, Adarsh Shastri from Dwarka, Abhishek Dutt from Kasturba Nagar, Rajinder Tanwar from Chhatarpur and Jay Prakash from Ambedkar Nagar.

Garvit Singhvi is fighting from Greater Kailash, Ch. Anil Kumar from Patparganj, Abdul Rehman from Seelampur and Ali Mahndi from Mustafabad.
The first list for Delhi polls came shortly after the Congress' top brass on Thursday evening cleared the names of 21 candidates for Delhi assembly elections, scheduled to be held early next year.
The names were discussed at a meeting of the party's central election committee chaired by Mallikarjun Kharge, top leaders from Delhi and CEC members discussed the names of nominees and gave nod to 21 candidates.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, CEC members Ambika Soni, Salman Khurshid, TS Singh Deo and Mushusudan Mistry were among those present at the meeting. Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav was also present during the deliberations.
