The first big announcement is related to women, while the second big announcement is for the auto rickshaw drivers of Delhi.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal announced on Thursday that the Delhi government cabinet has approved the Mahila Samman Yojana, under which eligible women of the national capital will be given Rs 1000 every month. Kejriwal said that the assistance amount of Rs 1000 will be started from today, while this amount will be increased to Rs 2100 when AAP returns to power.

Arvind Kejriwal said, "I had promised to give Rs 1000 every month to the women of Delhi and I am happy to announce that CM Atishi's cabinet has approved this scheme today. Now women can avail the benefits of this scheme by registering." Earlier, the AAP government had announced the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' in the 2024-25 budget to give Rs 1000 every month to every eligible woman in Delhi. The government had also allocated Rs 2,000 crore in the budget for this scheme.

5 latest guarantees for auto drivers

Apart from women, Kejriwal has also made 5 big announcements for auto drivers. These announcements are as follows.

All auto rickshaw drivers will get insurance cover of up to Rs 10 lakh.

Financial assistance of up to Rs 1 lakh will be given for the marriage of daughters of auto drivers.

2,500 will be given every year for the uniform of auto rickshaw drivers.

Kejriwal has announced that the government will also consider coaching classes for the children of auto drivers.

Kejriwal has also announced the relaunch of 'Poochho App'.
