Soon after arriving, the PM tweeted, "Happy to be among the lovely people of Nepal on the holy day of Buddha Purnima." I'm looking forward to the Lumbini programmes." He offered prayers at the Maya Devi shrine. On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, he will thereafter take part in a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the India International Centre for Buddhist Culture and Heritage.
