'Spirit Of Hope & Harmony': PM Modi, President Extend Eid Wishes

PM Modi, President Murmu, and other leaders extended Eid-ul-Fitr wishes, emphasised brotherhood, compassion, and goodwill on the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his wishes to the countrymen for Eid-ul-Fitr. He wrote in his post, "May this festival enhance the spirit of hope.".

"May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness in our society. May there be joy and success in all your endeavours. Eid Mubarak!," the PM wrote in the post. 

President Droupadi Murmu, in a post, said that "This festival strengthens the spirit of brotherhood and conveys the message of compassion, goodwill, and charity."

"I extend my greetings to all my fellow countrymen, especially my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. This festival strengthens the spirit of brotherhood and conveys the message of compassion, goodwill, and charity. I pray that this festival brings peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone's life and instills in everyone's hearts the spirit of moving forward on the path of goodness," the post read.

On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the people of the state and said that the festival brings a message of happiness and harmony.

"The Chief Minister said that Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival of joy and togetherness. This festival of happiness strengthens social unity and enhances the spirit of mutual brotherhood. It conveys a message of peace and harmony. He urged that on the occasion of Eid, everyone should resolve to further strengthen mutual harmony and social cohesion," a statement of the Information and Public Relations Department of the UP government statement said.
