Jagdambika Pal reacts on controversy of Nepal merging with India

The last book of Pranab Mukherjee, former President of the country and veteran Congress leader titled 'The Presidential Year 2012-2017' has been released. Even before it was printed, this book got into controversy. The anecdote in the book being shared widely claims that there was a time when the Nepal King offered that the Himalayan country become a province of India, but the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru rejected Nepal's proposal.
