Indian Stock Market Closes on a Disappointing Note Yesterday, Watch Big Updates | ABP News

The Indian stock market experienced a significant decline yesterday, with both the BSE and NSE closing in the red. Weak signals from U.S. markets and disappointing PMI data from the U.S. contributed to the market downturn. By the end of trading, around 1,800 shares on the Nifty showed a decline, while only 650 shares experienced gains. The market capitalization of the BSE fell to ₹460.36 lakh crore from ₹465.66 lakh crore the previous day, resulting in a loss of ₹5.3 lakh crore for investors in just one day. On Friday, the NSE's Nifty closed at 24,852, down 292.95 points or 1.17%. The BSE Sensex ended at 81,183.93, marking a decline of 1,017.23 points or 1.24%. Despite a flat opening in the morning, the market witnessed significant declines, which was alarming for investors as a drop of 800-900 points in a single day is substantial. Among the 50 stocks on the Nifty, only 8 saw gains while 42 ended lower. On the Sensex, 4 out of 30 stocks experienced increases, with the remaining 26 closing in the red.
