Roadshow Ahead of Priyanka Gandhi's Nomination: Hear What the People of Wayanad Have to Say

Priyanka Gandhi's candidacy for the Wayanad by-election has sparked significant discussion in political circles following her announcement as the Congress candidate. Various debates have emerged, especially since her brother, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, previously held the Wayanad seat. Due to regulations, he had to vacate this seat after the 2024 Lok Sabha election results and chose to represent the Rae Bareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh instead. This has led to the current by-election in Wayanad.

To compete against Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Navya Haridas as their candidate from Wayanad. Haridas previously contested the 2021 Assembly elections from Kozhikode South, finishing in third place. She has also served as a councillor in the Kozhikode Cooperative.
