Delhi Election Result 2025: Will the Lotus Bloom or the Broom Sweep? Result To Be Out Soon!
The results of the Delhi Assembly elections will be announced today, with vote counting set to begin shortly at 19 counting centers. The election for Delhi’s 70-member assembly took place on February 5, with the main contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress. AAP, which has been in power for a decade, is eyeing another term, while the BJP, which has not won in Delhi for 26 years, is making a strong push for a comeback. Congress, out of power for the last decade, has also made efforts to regain ground. Several key seats have witnessed intense competition, including New Delhi, Kalkaji, Jangpura, Patparganj, Badli, Okhla, Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, and Greater Kailash. Prominent candidates in focus include AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, Manish Sisodia, and Saurabh Bhardwaj; AIMIM’s Tahir Hussain; BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Verma, Kapil Mishra, and Mohan Singh Bisht; and Congress leaders Sandeep Dikshit and Devender Yadav. Exit polls show a mixed picture. Surveys by Today’s Chanakya, Chanakya Strategy, Matrize, and Axis My India indicate a BJP majority, while two other exit polls suggest AAP leading. Some surveys predict a close contest between BJP and AAP, while others show Congress securing a few seats or none at all.
