28-year-old Sanjeet was kidnapped and then allegedly murdered in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur while his family kept seeking help from police officials. His body has not been recovered as yet.
The family alleged that the police failed to stop the kidnappers. This is why they managed to escape with a ransom worth Rs 30 lakh. Four police officers including IPS officer Aparna Gupta have been suspended in the case.
