Video Of Kanwariyas Dancing To Loud Music Inside Delhi Metro Angers Netizens

In the 13-second video, kanwariyas, all clad in traditional saffron dress, can be seen dancing to the tunes of a song dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Despite Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) warning people against making reels, videos inside metro stations and trains, people haven't refrained from doing so. From unruly travellers to people behaving indecently at station premises, Delhi metro has become a hotspot for breaking rules. Now, a video of a group of 'kanwariyas' dancing to loud music inside a Delhi Metro train has gone viral on social media.

In the 13-second video, kanwariyas, all clad in traditional saffron dress, can be seen dancing to the tunes of a song dedicated to Lord Shiva. The viral video also shows them swaying their hair in the air and taking selfies as other passengers sitting on their seats watch them quietly.

"Now it’s Kanwariya’s dance in the Delhi Metro," read the caption shared by Twitter user Pankaj Upadhyay.

The video after it went viral, again prompted Delhi Metro to issue a statement regarding the incident

"We request our commuters to maintain discipline and decorum while travelling by the Metro," read the statement issued by DMRC.

"All passengers must ensure that their behaviour doesn’t cause any inconvenience to fellow commuters. DMRC’s flying squads regularly travel across the network to detect such activity," the statement further read.

Since being shared, the video has gone viral with hundreds of views.

Meanwhile, another clip showing a kanwariya carry his elderly mother on his shoulder has gone viral on the internet. In the video shared by ANI,  the devotee’s mother can be seen seated in a palanquin which is balanced on the other side with three pots of Ganga water.

"A youth carries his mother on one shoulder and water of the river Ganga on the other shoulder in Haridwar," read the caption of the post shared by news agency ANI.
