Bengaluru Man Rejected As Flat Tenant For Not Scoring 90% In Class 12 — Check Viral Conversation

A man looking to rent a flat in Karnataka's Bengaluru was rejected by a flat owner on the basis of the marks that he had scored in 12th.

Ever heard the saying "One piece of paper cannot decide my future"? It appears that now it does as a man looking for flats for rent in Bengaluru was rejected on the basis of the marks that he had scored in his 12th Boards. Yogesh had scored 75 per cent in his 12th Standard and the broker that he was in contact with said that the owner was looking for someone with marks above 90 per cent.

The demands of house owners seem to be getting more bizarre by the day. The owner of the flat that Yogesh wanted to rent not only demanded his LinkedIn and Twitter profiles but also asked for a 150-200 word write-up about himself. A Twitter user named Shubh posted two screenshots from the conversation that Yogesh and a broker were having on WhatsApp.

In the first screenshot, the broker asked for Yogesh's LinkedIn and Twitter profile along with the joining certificate of the company that he's working in. The owner then asked for his 10th and 12th mark sheets along with other necessary documents like Aadhar and Pan Card. If these were not enough, Yogesh was asked to submit a 150-200 word write-up about himself. After submitting all this, Yogesh was rejected as a potential tenant, and the reason given by the owner was that he had scored just 75 per cent in his 12th Board and the owner is looking for someone with at least 90 per cent.

A user commented something along the lines of the age-old saying of our parents "Padhai likhai karo tabhi ghar bana paoge".

Many hilarious stories have surfaced on social media about flat hunting in Bengaluru where the rent prices have almost doubled as IT professionals who were working from their hometowns were asked by their companies to join the office physically.
