Train Cleaning Staff Throws Garbage On Tracks, Railways Promises Action After Video Goes Viral

The video after being shared went viral with several of them expressing dismay over the irresponsible behaviour of  the cleaning staff.

The Indian Railways, in the last few years has been trying to overhaul itself and provide a smooth and comfortable travelling experience to its passengers. From running high speed trains like Vande Bharat, to electrification of routes to improving infrastructure at railway platforms, a lot has improved. However, cleanliness inside trains is still lacking behind. A video showcasing a housekeeping staff member of the Indian Railways dumping trash onto the railway tracks from a moving train has gone viral online.

In the video shared  on X, formerly Twitter by a user named Saurabh, one can see a railway employee collect all the garbage like wrappers and plastic bottles at the gate of a coach and throw it onto the railway track of the moving train.

''Swach Bharat Abhiyan ft Indian Railways!! The regular scene in almost 99% of the trains running in IR, Not sure about protocols but this is the failure of the system, Thousands of tonnes of waste are dumped daily on tracks, Who should be held accountable for this?''.

The video after being shared went viral with several of them expressing dismay over the irresponsible behaviour of  the cleaning staff.

The Indian Railways immediately responded to the tweet by asking the train number and date of this incident for taking action against the guilty.

"This is correct. This happens in all trains .I have experienced it in Udyaan Express in January," commented one user on the post.

There was an INCIDENT where waste disposed from a running train smashed onto a passing one on the other track.
