'Teekha Kam Please': Japanese Ambassador To India Tries Vada Pav In Pune. WATCH

Suzuki was in Pune to attend an event and he decided to try the local cuisine from the famous Garden Vada Pav Centre.

When thinking of Mumbai or Maharashtra, the one food item that instantly comes to mind is the vada pav that is arguably the most popular street food here. Buttery soft pav buns with crispy Aloo Bonda sandwiched in between them with spicy and savoury chutneys can make anyone's mouth water. Recently, Japan's Ambassador to India Hiroshi Suzuki on a visit to Pune tried the street food and shared a video of himself relishing it.

Suzuki was in Pune to attend an event and he decided to try the local cuisine from the famous Garden Vada Pav Centre. In the video, he can be seen enjoying the vada pav, which seemed a little spicy for his taste.

"I love street food of India...but thoda teekha kam please!" (a little less spicy, please), read the caption of the video shared by Suzuki.

Since being shared the clip has amassed close to 4 lakh views and tons of comments.

"Impressed that you are brave enough to try it," commented another user on the post.

While a third making a suggestion rote, Sir, You should try Misal Paav of Mumbai. It's different from Pune and Kolhapur."

Suggested the ambassador to try other street foods of the country one user wrote, "Gujarati khana try kijiye Hiroshi Ji. It's not much spicy. Khaman and Dhokla."
