An NDRF yoga session in Udhampur featured a trained dog flawlessly performing asanas, inspiring participants with its discipline and focus.

A special yoga session hosted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Udhampur had an unexpected star this year—a dog who has become an inspiring regular participant. Held at the 13th Battalion campus in Sui, the session included 55 human yogis and one four-legged practitioner trained over two years by NDRF personnel.

The dog impressed everyone by flawlessly performing yoga asanas, including the famous downward dog pose and several balancing moves, exhibiting calmness and focus that won over the audience.

NDRF Dog Performs Yoga

"If a stray dog can learn yoga, why can't humans incorporate it into their daily lives?" said NDRF team, as per a report on ANI.

Adopted and lovingly cared for by the battalion, the dog has become a symbol of discipline, compassion, and the transformative power of consistent practice.

International Yoga Day

India is gearing up to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day on June 21 with the theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” highlighting yoga’s vital role in connecting individual wellbeing with the health of the planet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a massive International Yoga Day event organised by the Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday. The event will be held along a 26-km corridor from RK Beach in Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram, where over three lakh people are expected to perform yoga simultaneously.

Scheduled between 6:30 am and 8:00 am, the event is being designed to secure recognition in the Guinness World Records. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the scale and coordination of the celebration are aimed at global recognition.
