A video of Rajat Dalal, a prominent social media influencer and gym trainer, has gone viral, igniting widespread outrage. In the video, Dalal is seen driving at an alarming speed when he strikes a motorcyclist. Instead of stopping to check on the victim, Dalal continues driving, nonchalantly remarking, "This is what I do every day." The video has led to a public outcry, with many demanding legal action against him.

Rajat Dalal hits a biker while overspeeding

The footage shows Dalal driving recklessly with a female passenger in the car. As the car races down the road, the woman pleads with Dalal to slow down, but he dismisses her concerns, assuring her, "Don’t worry." Moments later, the car collides with a motorcyclist. The visibly shaken woman exclaims, "Sir, he fell. Please don’t do this." Unfazed, Dalal coldly responds, "Gir gaya koi nahi, ye to roz ka kaam hai (If he fell, it doesn’t matter. This is my daily routine.)"

The vehicle was reportedly speeding at 140 km/h, and the 55-second clip, believed to have been recorded by someone in the back seat, quickly spread across social media platforms. The video has prompted a wave of condemnation, with numerous users calling on Haryana police to take swift action against Dalal.

Rajat Dalal attempts to justify his actions

In a follow-up video, Dalal attempts to defend his actions, offering a convoluted explanation of the incident. He claims, "The auto driver wasn’t at fault because his auto had stalled. The person who hit the auto wasn’t at fault either because the auto had stopped. The person who hit me from behind wasn’t at fault because I had to apply brake. I applied braked to avoid running over someone. So, it wasn’t anyone’s fault, but everyone suffered the consequences." Dalal, who has over 500,000 followers on his Instagram account 'Train by Rajat,' has faced severe backlash for his behaviour.

Who is Rajat Dalal?

Rajat Dalal is a well-known figure in the fitness community, recognised as a powerlifter and fitness influencer. Born on January 12, 1996, in Faridabad, Haryana, he frequently finds himself in the public eye, often due to his controversial behavior. Dalal began his career as a personal trainer and powerlifter, gaining a significant following on social media.

Past legal troubles

This incident is not the first time Dalal has been embroiled in legal issues. In June this year, he was arrested by Ahmedabad police in Gujarat for assaulting, abducting, and humiliating an 18-year-old boy. The boy had taken a selfie with Dalal at his gym and posted it on social media with the caption, "Seeing your face every morning ruins my day." Enraged by the post, Dalal lured the boy to his gym, and later, along with his friends, abducted him from his society. Dalal not only assaulted the boy but also threatened him. A video of the assault surfaced, leading to Dalal's arrest.
