Delhi Police Celebrates India's Victory Over Sri Lanka With A 'Killing' Tweet
"And here comes the master stroke by DP.. you guys should make your own stand up comedian group I am telling you," commented one user on the post.
India once again gave a stellar performance on Thursday and beat Sri Lanka in the quarterfinals by a mammoth margin of 302 runs to seal the semi-final spot of the ongoing ICC ODI Cricket World Cup. Batting first, India set a target of 357 runs on the board for the Sri Lankan team to chase down, but they could hardly put up a fight against a spirited and inform Indian bowling. The entire team were bowled out for 55 runs. The victory was celebrated across the country with people bursting firecrackers and distributing sweets.
The Delhi police also celebrated this great victory of Men in Blue in their own style on X, formerly Twitter. They described team India's win as a "killing performance".
"#TeamIndia, '302' is literally a 'killing' performance," wrote Delhi Police on X. Section 302 in IPC prescribes the punishment of life imprisonment or death.
