10-Yr-Old Pune Girl Takes On Chain Snatcher Who Attacked Grandmother: Watch

A 10-year-old girl took on a chain snatcher in Pune who attacked her grandmother. The incident was caught on camera.

A 10-year-old girl bravely fought a chain snatcher and thwarted an attack on her grandmother in Maharashtra's Pune. The incident that took place on February 25 was caught on camera and the viral video showed the accused fleeing the spot after the girl took on him.

In ANI's short clip, the girl could be seen walking with her grandmother when a man on a scooter approached them. The man grabbed the chain on the old lady. She resisted this attempt of theft and started hitting him. Immediately her 10-year-old granddaughter came to the rescue and attacked the thief with her handbag forcing him to run away. 

As per the Indian Express report, the brave girl has been identified as Rutvi, a fourth-standard student of Hujurpaga Girls High School in Pune. Her father Nitin Ghag owns an automobile repair garage. Rutvi, her 60-year-old grandma Lata, and her younger sister Dnyaneshwari were travelling to a relative's house at the time of the event.

While talking to the Indian Express, Nitin said, “From our house in Model Colony, my mother was on her way to my sister’s house. Rutvi and Dnyaneshwari were with her. There was hardly any traffic on the street when the incident took place. It is a proud feeling that Rutvi bravely thwarted the attack by the chain-snatcher. I hope that the police will soon catch the suspect.”
