We Will Raid KCR's Farmhouse If He Fails To Procure Paddy Crop: TPCC President Revanth Reddy
Revanth Reddy said farmers in Telangana have been fighting for their rights in the same way that farmers in Punjab and Haryana have fought the BJP government over the three black farm laws.
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President A Revanth Reddy has said that the Congress would fight till the state government buys the last grain from the farmers.
The Congress party organised a public meeting "Mana Ooru Mana Poru" at Ellareddy in Kamareddy district, on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Revant Reddy demanded KCR to procure paddy from the state's farmers. "We will raid CM’s farm house along with lakhs of farmers if he failed to procure the paddy crop," said Revanth in the "Mana Ooru Mana Poru" program.
We demand KCR to procure paddy from the farmers of the state until the last grain is exhausted. We will raid CM’s farm house along with lakhs of farmers if he failed to procure the paddy crop.

Revanth Reddy said Telangana has an annual budget of Rs 2.5 lakh crore and the state government should be able to procure the entire paddy crop on its own for roughly Rs 10,000 crore, or about 50-60 lakh quintals.
Revanth criticised Minister Kavita, who had promised to inaugurate sugarcane factories in the Nizamabad district, and not stood by her word after the elections. Similarly, the BJP's candidate Arvind is elected in Nizamabad, he has vowed to inaugurate the turmeric board. TPCC chief claimed that Arvind broke his promise and failed to get the turmeric board in the Nizamabad district.
Revanth said farmers in the Nizamabad region are not obtaining a fair price for their turmeric because there is no board. The sugarcane crop was unprofitable due to the Nizam Sugar Factory's failure to reopen. CM KCR now wants farmers to cultivate something other than paddy, he said.
Revanth Reddy claimed that KCR was not providing any clarity on alternative crops and that farmers would not be guaranteed a price or the complete purchase if they cultivated other crops.
He added that farmers in Telangana have been fighting for their rights in the same way that farmers in Punjab and Haryana have fought the BJP government over the three black farm laws.
