Telangana Govt Release Rs.50,000 Crores Under Rythu Bandhu Scheme: Minister KTR
KTR said that even Opposition leaders who own farmland are benefiting under Rythu Bandhu Scheme.
Hyderabad: The Rythu Bandhu plan brought a noticeable shift in the agriculture industry across the State because of the concrete initiatives taken by the State government, said Minister KT Rama Rao speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan on the occasion of reaching the Rs 50,000 crore mark in Rythu Bandhu deposits.
"It's a huge effort to deposit Rs 50,000 crore through a Direct Benefit Transfer system. However, the Telangana administration accomplished this historic feat, which will be inscribed in gold letters in India's history. This demonstrates Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's resolve and devotion to farmers," he said.
KTR said that even Opposition leaders who own farmland are benefiting under Rythu Bandhu Scheme. He stated that other Opposition-ruled states were copying projects like Rythu Bandhu. He also challenged them to name any other state that spent more on the agriculture loan waiver programme than Telangana.
He remarked that the TRS has no issue with political tourists visiting the State because it may enhance state tourism.We have written off the loans of four lakh farmers. KTR announced that the rest will be done in stages.
He further said 3205 crore premium had been paid for Farmer's Insurance, and Seventy thousand farmers have benefited under this scheme.
On behalf of 65 lakh farmers and their families and TRS party activists, the TRS working president thanked the Chief Minister for implementing the Rythu Bandhu plan. KTR said the State government was developing schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, lift irrigation schemes, and free, uninterrupted electricity supply, among other efforts, which fueled the State's agriculture sector's exceptional growth.
