Telangana Govt Increases Upper Age Limit For Recruitment In Police Jobs

The Police Recruitment Board has already issued a notification for direct recruitment to 16,027 vacancies for the post of constable and 587 for sub-inspector posts.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday has announced to increase the age limit by two years for recruitment to the posts in the State Police department. Following the implementation of a 95 per cent job quota for locals and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic over the last two years, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao agreed to MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy's plea to raise the upper age limit.

As a result, the Chief Minister has directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and DGP M Mahender Reddy to take necessary measures in this regard immediately.

 

Notably, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board has been conducting recruitment exams to fill up the posts of Constable, Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Reserve Sub-Inspectors, Deputy Jailor and Police Constable. The deadline for registration is May 20.

The Police Recruitment Board has already issued a notification for direct recruitment to 16,027 vacancies for the post of constable and 587 for sub-inspector posts.

A preliminary exam, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test and final exam are all part of the Telangana Police 2022 recruitment process. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be qualified to take the next level test.
