Telangana: Dharani Portal, Kaleshwaram Project Are Landmark Corruption Scams Of BRS, Says Prakash Javadekar

Prakash Javadekar said the BJP will not only conduct an inquiry into Dharani portal scam but restore the lands to their rightful owners.

In a scathing attack ahead of the run-up to Telangana Assembly Election, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar accused BRS-led government of undertaking two landmark corruptions through Dharani Portal and Kaleshwaram projects during their tenure. Javadekar emphazised that Dharani portal scam was the worst land record scam. Further, he said, the BJP will not only conduct an inquiry into the scam but restore the lands to their rightful owners.

According to ANI, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said, "Dharani Portal and Kaleshwaram are two landmark corruption scams of the BRS government. They have looted the state. Dharani scam is a land record scam. The land record is now nowhere available...This is the worst scam...We will not only inquire but restore the lands to the real owners."

"That is what we have said. And Kaleshwaram, I think the dam safety report is very clear that it was state design which was faulty. I am very sure BRS is losing, BJP is winning and Congress will come third. The Congress manifesto has nothing to do with reality," he said.

Not just BJP but even Congress took up Kaleshwaram project during the election campaign.

Rahul Gandhi who visited Medigadda Lakshmi Barrage reportedly saw multiple cracks developed on the pillars of the project. So, he alleged that Kaleshwaram project was the ATM of KCR's family.

Taking to X, Rahul Gandhi said, "Cracks have developed in multiple pillars because of shoddy construction with reports indicating that the pillars are sinking. KCR and his family are using the Kaleshwaram Project as their personal ATM to plunder the people of Telangana (sic)."
