'People Of Telangana Laughing, Not Going To Trust...': BJP, BRS Corner Congress Over Its Poll Manifesto
BRS and BJP took a dig at the Congress over its manifesto ahead of Telangana polls saying people are going to laugh and not going to take the poll promises seriously.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday took a jibe at the Congress party over its manifesto saying that people of Telangana are not going to trust the party with its poll promises. The Congress party released its manifesto for the Telangana polls on Friday promising to identify martyrs of the first and last phase of Telangana movement and officially recognising and providing a government job to one person from their family.
"People of Telangana are laughing after seeing the manifesto. Congress has never fulfilled the promises they made in their manifesto,” said BJP state unit president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy.
“In Karnataka, they have not fulfilled the five guarantees they promised there. They give impractical and false guarantees...The people of Telangana are intelligent and are not taking this manifesto seriously,” he added.
"The people are not going to trust the Congress manifesto released by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge...All they did was corruption, dynastic politics & appeasement politics...People will not trust Congress,” BJP OBC Morcha President K Laxman said while speaking to news agency ANI in Hyderabad.
BRS leader and Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali said, " You can compare the work we have done in the past 9 years and 4 months and Congress' work in the last 50 years...KCR is a great leader and he has a vision. What vision does Congress have?... Congress' manifesto is a manifesto of lies..."
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday unveiled the party’s manifesto ahead of the November 30 polls in Telangana outlining key promises and initiatives.
Among the highlights, the manifesto included the provision of 1 tola Gold (equivalent to 10 grams) for brides, distribution of free electric scooters to female students, commitment to generate 2 lakh jobs and a substantial 2 lakh crop loan waiver.
