Hyderabad: After a harrowing day at work, respite for food delivery executives as the Telangana government has directed the police personnel to ensure a seamless supply further while adhering to strict lockdown. The stricter guidelines came into force after CM K Chandrashekar Rao showed disappointment upon the police laxity in the state.
The police's wielded power and high-handedness have gone wrong after the Telangana CM ordered a strict lockdown amid growing concerns due to Covid and Black Fungus cases in the state. On Saturday, many food supply executives were baton-charged and termed as curfew violators despite their movement was exempted from the guidelines.

The top police officials in Hyderabad have directed to use of lathis on the lockdown violators. A Commissioner has even instructed his personnel to use excessive force if need be, while another advised them to brandish lathis but not without ‘instructions’ from his office.

After a lot of people flagged disruption in the supply of food for the people ordering from Swiggy, Zomato, etc.. the police officials have taken this account and had a late-night meeting to further decision about the smooth supply of food ordered on eCommerce.

Taking the issue to Twitter, the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development of Telangana, KTR said he would resolve the issues of people who are left in the lurch due to the stopping of food delivery services.
