Telangana: Congress Issues Show Cause Notice To Party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy
Venkat Reddy’s younger brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is contesting the Munugode polls on a BJP ticket. He was a congress MLA, who quit the party and post and joined Saffron Party.
On the day when Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Telangana, Congress party disciplinary committee issued a show cause notice to party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

In a notice, Congress said, "MP and Telangana Incharge ManickamTagore, has brought to the notice of the Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) that a voice recording was being heard you insisting Congress leader Jabbar, to support the BJP candidate for the Munugode assembly by-election on November 3, who happens to be your sibling against the Congress candidate Palvai Sravanthi Reddy. It is alleged that this voice recording is viral on social media, and prominent electronic and print media.
Prima facie, is an act of breach of Party discipline, the notice further.
"This show cause notice is being issued seeking your reply within 10 days as to why disciplinary action not be taken against you as per the provisions of the Constitution of the Indian National Congress," the notice said.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Telangana on Sunday. A massive crowd of Congress workers and supporters welcome Rahul Gandhi in Telangana as the Keraa MP crosses the Krishna river bridge early in the morning and entered into Gudebellur.
Gandhi will walk for a few kilometres on Sunday before breaking it at 11 AM and fly back to New Delhi for Diwali and attend the newly elected Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s swearing-in ceremony. The yatra will resume on October 27 morning from Gudebellur.
Rahul Gandhi will walk for 375 km in Telangana in 16 days covering 19 Assembly and 7 Parliamentary constituencies. The yatra will enter Maharashtra from Telangana on November 7.
