Telangana: Class 10 Question Paper Leaks For Second Consecutive Day

The Hindi question paper of Second School Certificate (SSC) was allegedly circulated on some WhatsApp groups a few minutes after the  exam started.

Another question paper of the ongoing Class 10 examination in Telangana got leaked for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. The Hindi question paper of Second School Certificate (SSC) was allegedly circulated on some WhatsApp groups in Warangal district a few minutes after the  exam started.

Telangana Education Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy directed the district education officers of Warangal and Hanamkonda to lodge complaints with the police.

This comes a day after the Telugu paper was allegedly leaked on WhatsApp. The question paper was leaked through WhatsApp by the teacher who was on duty as an invigilator at an exam centre at a government school in Tandur.

Two teachers have been arrested for leaking the paper. The education department suspended four others who were on duty at the exam centre.

Meanwhile, some answer sheets from the first paper went missing in Adilabad district's Utnoor town. The police registered a case and started investigation after education department officials lodged a complaint.

On Monday, the answer sheets of the Telugu paper went missing when they were being transported from the post office to the bus stand in an autorickshaw. One of the 11 bundles of the answer sheets was found missing.

Police officials said the CCTV cameras along the route from the post office to the bus stand were not functioning. Footage from CCTV cameras installed in shops was being scanned as part of the investigation.

Answer sheets of nine students are reported to be missing. The education department blamed postal staff for their negligence.

The Second School Certificate (SSC) board exam began across Telangana on Monday. A total of 4,94,620 students are appearing for the exams at 2,652 centres.

The development comes at a time when the question paper leak of various exams conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has rocked the state and triggered protests by opposition parties and various student union groups.
