Telangana Congress is also expected to hold a massive rally to announce five guarantees for Telangana in Tukkuguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Congress workers initially urged access to organise the rally in Parade Grounds in Secunderabad and LB Stadium. However, after they were denied permission, the party leaders persuaded the land-owning farmers to hold the rally, said a report on The South First.
Telangana Congress also conducted a 'Bhoomi Pooja' to remove the ill-effects in the land so that the public meeting is held at ease in the state. The pooja was attended by AICC incharge for Telangana Manikrao Thakare, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yaskhi Goud and DCC president Challa Narsimha Reddy.
